This should surprise no one, but I’m an extrovert. I love being out in the world and playing. Due to the recent health crisis, however, I have been self-quarantined which has forced me to sit still, pause, and be in my own space.
This time out from life has been challenging, but I am choosing to use it as a time to grow, reflect, and recuperate. Even extroverts need to recover sometimes.
Below I have created a list of what I am doing to reconnect with myself, keep myself sane, and practice mindfulness. You don’t have to use it, but if you want to it’s here.
Cheers everyone! We’re in this together.
PS: feel free to dm me questions/comments/concerns/if you’re just bored and want to talk. I have nothing but time now 😊
1.) create a list of what you are grateful for
2.) spring cleaning 🧼
3.) at home workouts (DM me and I will connect you with the awesome team I’ve been working with)
4.) yoga flows, you can make them up, or just YouTube them!
5.) fix that old pair of jeans that have a hole that have been sitting in your closet
6.) clean your old sneakers (I know, not that fun, but is super satisfying)
7.) call/FaceTime your mom and friends! I just learned you can play virtual monopoly with your friends online and it’s actually really fun!
8.) practice some self care, do your nails, tweeze your eyebrows, wear a face mask, etc.
9.) drink a cup of tea and simply be still
10.) read that book you bought months ago but never made time for
11.) go for a walk (if you live in an area where this is allowed and you can still be isolated
12.) sit on your porch and just listen
13.) write thank you notes to the people in your life that you’re thankful for!
14.) online shop to support the small businesses you can’t visit
15.) learn a new skill (I’m teaching myself the ukelele)
16.) paint (even if you’re not a great artist)
17.) sign up for an online class, tech schools over pretty inexpensive or sometimes free online courses that are really interesting! I just registered for a self-paced mindfulness course!
18.) create a list of goals and a plan as to how you can achieve them
